Guided Visualization and Sound Experience 3-30-23 @ HB Reiki

This is a weekly in person event.
Please be on time. If late enter as quietly as possible to not disturb attendees while the session is in progress.
Enjoy a 50-60 minute Guided Mindfulness Meditation and Sound Bath Experience in the beautiful studio of Huntington Beach Reiki lead by sound practitioner and artist Sam Bernal.
To begin there will be a short group chant of a word of the week followed by a brief breathing exercise to begin the energetic shift in your body.
After the breathing exercise, attendees will be invited to lay down and and enjoy a guided mindfulness meditation with Sound healing instruments. After the guided meditation there will be a brief silence period and then the sound bath will continue for the remainder of the session.
Afterwards, there is a short question and answer period where you can ask Sam a question or share something about your experience if you feel moved to do so.
After you feel the benefits of session and would like to create an energetic exchange, donations are gratefully accepted via cash or venmo
Suggested Donation: $15-$30
Pay $15 if money is tight for you and you need the benefits of the session
Pay $20 if you enjoy or feel relief from your experience
Pay $30 if you’d like to a contribute a little more so the night can be kept open for those in need

What to Bring:
Yoga Mat, Pillows, blankets…. whatever you need to be comfortable and relaxed.
The ground is hard in the studio so bring as many pads, blankets and pillows as you need to be comfortable and still for 60 minutes.
Eye masks are optional and can assist in allowing a deeper state of meditation if desired.
Parking:
Park in the free parking in front of the studio at 2730 S Harbor Blvd, Suite H, Santa Ana, CA
Drive behind the main sign of the business park and take a right at the circle.
Suite H is up the stairs and is the first door on the left across from the acting school.
Sound Session Etiquette:
Seating and Yoga mat Placement: Please social distance where possible to ensure all are comfortable.
Late Arrival:
Quietly place your things and enjoy the session. Do your best not to disrupt any attendees or Sam as he plays.
Snoring:
If you happen to snore, Sam will need to wake you during the session usually with a tap on the foot. This is to preserve the experience for the other attendees. If you are prone to falling asleep and snoring, sitting up and/or leaning against the wall can also help.
Instruments:
Please refrain from bringing your own instruments including drums, sound bowls etc. There is a natural flow to each sound session that Sam creates intuitively based on the energy of the group, environment etc. Playing instruments outside of this flow can be a distraction for the other attendees.
Sleeping:
Sound baths are very relaxing and it is not uncommon for people to fall asleep. Your body will still receive benefits of the sound healing during sleep and it is also a mindfulness practice to close your eyes and fix your attention on the sounds while staying conscious.
Distracting sounds:
On occasion sounds from the surrounding environment outside may intrude on the session. Please use this as a mindfulness practice and surrender to the sounds while letting go of any judgements. This will lead to a more pleasant experience for you.
